Dentures — Full & Partial
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth — full when all the teeth in a jaw are missing, partial when some remain. It is custom-made over about four to five visits, with a try-in so you see and approve the result before it is finished.

What it is
Dentures replace missing teeth with a removable appliance made to fit your mouth. Modern dentures are designed to look natural and to help you chew and speak comfortably — whether you are missing a few teeth or all of them.
Full and partial dentures
A full denture replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw and rests on the gums. A partial denture fills the gaps when some natural teeth remain, clipping onto them for support. Where suitable, dentures can also be stabilised with implants for a more secure fit.
How they are made
We take precise impressions and bite records, choose the shape and shade of the teeth with you, and try the denture in before it is finished, so you can see and approve the result. After fitting, small adjustments over the first weeks make it more comfortable.
Living with dentures
It takes a few weeks to get used to eating and speaking with a new denture. Clean it daily, take it out at night unless we advise otherwise, and keep regular check-ups — the gums and bone change over time, so dentures need relining or replacing every few years.
Step by step
Assessment
We examine your mouth and remaining teeth and discuss what you want from your denture.
Impressions & bite
Precise impressions and bite records are taken so the denture fits your mouth.
Try-in
You see the teeth in place before the denture is finished, and we adjust shape and shade with you.
Fitting
The finished denture is fitted and we show you how to put it in, take it out and clean it.
Adjustments
Follow-up visits in the first weeks to ease any sore spots.
Materials & equipment we use
Acrylic dentures
A gum-coloured base with natural-looking teeth, used for full and partial dentures.
Metal-framework partial dentures
A thinner, lighter option for some partial dentures, clipping onto natural teeth.
Implant-retained options
Where suitable, implants can hold a denture more firmly.
After your visit
- Clean the denture every day with a soft brush and a denture cleaner — not regular toothpaste, which can scratch it.
- Take it out at night, unless advised otherwise, and keep it in water or a cleaning solution.
- Brush your gums, tongue and any remaining teeth every day.
- Do not adjust or repair it yourself; contact us if it cracks or rubs.
- Have it checked at least once a year — the gums change shape and the fit may need relining.

What our patients say
“I recently visited DentLux Clinic, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The clinic itself is modern, clean, and inviting, which immediately put me at ease. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making sure I felt comfortable every step of the way.
The dentist took the time to explain every procedure in detail, which I really appreciated. It’s clear they prioritize patient care and comfort. The treatment itself was seamless, and I left feeling well taken care of.
Another highlight was the advanced technology they use—it made the process faster and more efficient than I expected.
If you’re looking for a dental clinic that combines expertise, professionalism, and a warm atmosphere, I highly recommend DentLux Clinic!”Odysseas A. · Google
Questions everyone asks
How long does it take to get used to a denture?+
Usually a few weeks. Start with soft food cut into small pieces, and read aloud to get used to speaking. Sore spots are common at first and we adjust them.
Should I sleep with my denture in?+
We usually advise taking it out at night to rest the gums, and keeping it clean and moist. We give you specific advice for your case.
Denture, bridge or implant — what is right for me?+
It depends on how many teeth are missing, the health of the remaining teeth and bone, and your preferences. We explain the options and their pros and cons at your assessment.
Will people notice I wear a denture?+
A well-made denture, with teeth chosen to suit your face, usually looks natural. We try it in with you before it is finished, so you can see the result first.
My old denture is loose. Do I need a new one?+
Not always. A loose denture can often be relined to fit the gums again. If it is worn or broken, a new one may be better — we check and advise.
