What it is
Orthodontic treatment gradually moves teeth into a better position, improving the bite as well as the look of your smile. It is not only for children — many adults straighten their teeth today, often with clear, removable aligners.
Who can benefit?
Crowded or crooked teeth, gaps, an overbite, underbite or crossbite, and teeth that have shifted over the years. Straighter teeth can also be easier to clean, which helps protect your gums.
Braces or clear aligners?
Fixed braces are bonded to the teeth and suit a wide range of cases. Clear aligners are a series of thin, transparent trays you change every one to two weeks; they are removable for eating and brushing, and are often chosen by adults. At your assessment we explain which option suits your teeth and why.
After treatment: retainers
Teeth tend to drift back after treatment, so a retainer — fixed behind the teeth, removable, or both — keeps the result. Wearing it as advised is the most important part of keeping your new smile.
Step by step
Assessment
We examine your teeth and bite and take X-rays, photographs and impressions or scans.
Treatment plan
We explain which option suits you, how long it is likely to take and the full cost before you decide.
Braces or aligners
Braces are fitted, or you receive your first set of aligners with clear instructions.
Regular reviews
Short check-ups every few weeks to follow progress and make adjustments.
Retention
When the teeth are in position, a retainer keeps them there.
Materials & equipment we use
Fixed braces
Small brackets bonded to the teeth and connected with a wire, adjusted at each visit.
Clear aligners
Thin, transparent removable trays, each moving the teeth a small step.
Retainers
Fixed or removable, to keep the result after treatment.
After your visit
- With braces: brush carefully around the brackets after every meal and avoid hard or sticky food.
- With aligners: wear them about 22 hours a day, remove them to eat, and brush before putting them back.
- Tenderness for a few days after each adjustment is normal; soft food helps.
- Wear your retainer exactly as advised — this is what keeps the result.
- Keep your regular check-ups and cleanings during treatment.

What our patients say
“I recently visited DentLux Clinic, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The clinic itself is modern, clean, and inviting, which immediately put me at ease. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making sure I felt comfortable every step of the way.
The dentist took the time to explain every procedure in detail, which I really appreciated. It’s clear they prioritize patient care and comfort. The treatment itself was seamless, and I left feeling well taken care of.
Another highlight was the advanced technology they use—it made the process faster and more efficient than I expected.
If you’re looking for a dental clinic that combines expertise, professionalism, and a warm atmosphere, I highly recommend DentLux Clinic!”Odysseas A. · Google
Questions everyone asks
Am I too old for orthodontic treatment?+
No. Teeth can be moved at any age as long as the gums and bone are healthy, and many orthodontic patients today are adults.
Are clear aligners as effective as braces?+
For many mild to moderate cases, yes — provided they are worn about 22 hours a day. Some more complex movements are better done with fixed braces. We tell you honestly which suits your case.
Does orthodontic treatment hurt?+
Teeth usually feel tender for a few days after braces are adjusted or a new aligner is started. This is normal and settles quickly.
What is the right age for a child’s first orthodontic check?+
A check around age 7 is often recommended, so that any problems with jaw growth or crowding can be noticed early. Most treatment itself starts later, once more adult teeth have come through.
Can I have orthodontic treatment if I have gum disease?+
The gums need to be healthy and stable first. We treat gum problems before starting, because moving teeth on inflamed gums can make things worse.
